Love it, needs iPad Pro support

Great app... Needs iPad Pro 12.9" support. Does not look as nice as it did on smaller tablets.

No vertical scrolling

I use the new slide over multitasking feature a lot on my iPad for notes, language dictionaries, etc. but because the swipe turns the page, every time I try to slide over the page turns. Very annoying.

Excellent e-reader

This app is so good it actually sold an iPad. I was looking at tablets and considering non-Apple models as well, until I realized that Marvin was iOS-only. Okay... Getting an iPad then. I was a huge fan of Stanza until Amazon killed it off; Marvin is a more-than-suitable replacement. Really excellent interface and powerful features make this an excellent program overall. From note taking to navigation. I love the swipes for changing brightness and warmth. Lots of thought went into the design. Suggestions: On leaving the app it should auto send my position in the book for syncing on other devices. Seems lazy that I have to do it myself, and then the app tells me that the device Im on now is at an earlier position and asks if I want to go back. They do need a whole-app "night mode". Reading at night the bright white menus are blinding. They should also clean up the hinky "extra dimming" interface and simply allow the standard dimming swipe to go further. EPub 3 support! (Including video ePub) PDF support would be nice.

In App Ripoff / Does not work with Calibre as advertised

I pay for the app and cant do something as simple as change the background color without paying more for a "theme." What a greedy ripoff. This is something you offer for a free version, not a paid app. Also, false advertising. Does not work with Calibre, which is the only reason I bought it. Deleted the app. I would not recommend this app or any other app from this company.

Wait for upgrade w. Calibre

This doesnt work with Calibre and the latest iOS. A upgrade (and added fee) is in the works. But that upgrade is lagging. Dont get a crippled app that doesnt do what it says. Wait for the upgrade.

Great App! The best!

Great app, best one out there. All it needs now is voice reading like the voice dream app and it would have everything. Hope that is in the plans!

Awesome e-reader

I love the way is works with Dropbox and other cloud storage systems. Excellent e-reader. Very practical. None better.

Favorite app for reading

My favorite app for reading ebooks, the best Ive tried so far and I dont want to look anywhere else for better, it does amazing things I never even thought of ! Marvin is the best reading app out of all for me!

The best ereader for iOS

Title says it all.

The best ebook reader ever made

Far superior to any other, has a multitude of tools but for me the most important are two things: 1. The multicolored highlights 2. Lightness app that does not crash and not taken to move the page, no matter how many markers, notes or highlights are included. It takes a while to initially open, i believe to be rendering, but compensates by not crashing and by the fluidity of reading.

Great app

It would be nice if the app shows time remaining for finishing the chapter, as in Gerty.

Piece of crap

If you want to check page numbers, forget it. Besides youll never get support from the developers. I wasted my money.

truly amazing!

This is the best app. As simple as that.

It crashes!!

When you want to add books to your library it keeps crashing! It only adds two books at a time. Please, fix that!

My prefered ebook reader

I use it for all my ebooks. Connects easily with dropbox and calibre.

Best e-reader app available !

Use this app at both iphone and ipad !

Amazing eReader packed with features

Marvin clearly sets the standard for eReader apps. The interface is beautiful, typography and customisation are superb and no other reader displays texts as easy to read. The depth of features can make the options a little confusing to navigate. Once its set up to your liking its just a joy to use. One of my favourite features is the Dropbox integration that allows me to sync reading progress across devices.

Close to Perfection

Marvin is the better book reader. Lots of customization and individual settings are available. I defined online dictionaries so I am able looking up words with just selecting them and touch the command Ive created. I do also like the swipe with one or two fingers for background light and color temperature. It is connected to my drop box for quick access to all books stored there. My wish-list: Continuous scrolling mode, like iOS iBooks allows. Close overlays, like browser window on top of the book Im reading with a swipe gesture. Like feedly does for example. Its some times annoying hitting the top left button. Mark text passages with a swipe, like iBooks does.

Best reading app available

Works so beautifully! Only thing would be an easy way to sync the books between devices. Reading position syncing works great.

Calibre integration clunky and difficult to set up

I bought this app primarily for the Calibre integration, but getting it to work with Calibre wasn’t all I’d hoped it to be. In essence you’re just as well off using iTunes file sync to iBooks rather than spending an extra $3 (plus however much you end up spending on themes) The good side is that the app itself is pretty good. It lacks continuous scroll so if you like that then you’re out of luck, but it’s simple and clean interface hides the options logically and allows for maximum screen real-estate. All in all I’d rather have my $3 back, but it’s a cheap enough experiment. If it allowed wireless sync with Calibre, or pulling from the app rather than pushing (wired) from Calibre I’d be a lot more keen on it, but it doesn’t.
